Are the Democrats looking for a “yes” or a “no” answer?

I enjoy the artwork on the train cars when I am waiting for them to finish passing.
Thanks for posting those images. And while I enjoyed them greatly, I also enjoyed the fact that there were not 120 of them in a row.

@Unferth – “Not yet” is likely an acceptable answer too …

Plus, what if I don’t approve of the “charity” they’re donating to?
How do I know they weren’t using the “round up” to pay their squeeze to SPLC?

Rounding up is a scam. in Vietnam the military scrip did not have paper pennies, so the PX and the clubs practiced “rounding off” to the nearest paper “nickel” Three or four cents rounded up, but one or two cents rounded DOWN. When I make the cashier a counter offer to round down there is generally some real annoyance.
And I NEVER tip electronically, only with real coins into the palm. And if she’s got nightmare hair and a face full of shrapnel it is squat.

@Unferth, I’m not familiar enough with the tax code to know if that’s true – I’ve been told otherwise. However, even if they can’t claim it, it would still be a donation I made that I don’t get to deduct.
@crazyeighter, that’s true. And you don’t know who it actually goes to. Things like that are why I had to resist a lot of pressure for being a holdout against “100% unit participation” during the United Way campaigns when I was in the Navy – for a few years, I made my donations and specified the lesser-known charities I wanted to support, secure in my naive (and mistaken) belief that the money I donated went where I wanted it to go.
Then I found out that it didn’t matter – United Way contracted with a few of the biggest and best-known charities (the ones that got a lot of donations already) to provide specific amounts, and it was only *after* those amounts were met that they even looked at any “requests” to support other charities.

Amazingly enough, I had the same attitude about the yearly United Way fund drive, (and to a certain degree the same for the Navy Relief fund drive).
It stopped being a fund drive “to do some good” and started being all about “100 percent participation”, and when you were a supervisor you got leaned on to extort your troops.
But I looked down the list and when I’d finally been browbeaten enough, I donated to the funds I wanted to help.

Wow! How OLD are you?

Lokki, are you old enough, or at least studied enough to remember Jack Benny and how he used always to answer “uh, 39”. later in life it became his standard joke. I adopted it. I returned in 1970. Still doing a stick shift, cursive writing, and analog timepieces. I admit to trouble with mobile phones. And I can still poke holes in paper at short range.
