SPLC–they literally funded what they purported to hate

If hate doesn’t exist, fund it. So many groups today are doing it, but finally one may pay for it. The Southern Poverty Law Center just got indicted for money laundering, etc.

They literally paid neo-Nazis, KKK members, and their ilk to get out there are do their thing so that the SPLC could point to them as examples of the far-right extremism that is anyone to the right of Karl Marx.

The DOJ says the SPLC, a far-left legal group that has spent the last decade warning America that fascism and racism is on the rise, paid fascists and racists to help them convince the public that the threat was real!

So they created their own ‘raison d’etre’. And defrauded their donors in the process.

According to the indictment, the objective of the scheme and artifice was to obtain money via donations through materially false representations and omissions about what the donated funds would be used for.

In order to covertly pay the individuals, the SPLC opened bank accounts connected to a series of fictitious entities. The covert nature of the accounts allowed the SPLC to disguise the true nature, source, ownership, and control of the fraudulently obtained donated money the SPLC paid the individuals. In order to keep the scheme going, the SPLC made a series of false statements related to the operation of the accounts.

Other groups have had to expand their mission, like the National Organization for Women and the American Teachers Federation brought the alphabet mafia into the fold just to try to maintain their salaries. So just paying folks is a new play.

Considering the fact that the SPLC was lying to their donors, I hope they all get sued as well.

Check out Aaron’s commentary as well.

  1. Yah, SPLC was great for a talking point for any member of Congress trying to sell something, i.e., hate speech, etc.

    Birds of a feather:
Google has, I’m sure, scrubbed the records by this point, but the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) is a defacto communist organization.

The ACLU often seems like they’re on the same side when it comes to arguing against government overreach, i.e., The Patriot Act, et. al., but they only represent a side if it advances communism.

For example, the ACLU and then Governor Manchin gave a speech at a university here in West Virginia, insinuating, if you didn’t vote for Obama, you were a racist.

May dogs piss on their graves.

  2. SPLC once had a noble mission.

But like nearly every Leftist organization, they lost their way and became an entity aimed at continuing to fund itself, not their mission ….And their focus changed from the original aim: to help poor people who needed legal representation to something else…funding jobs for Liberals

  3. From New York Magazine (hardly a far-right source)

    https://nymag.com/intelligencer/article/the-free-speech-war-inside-the-aclu.html

    The ACLU:

…over the past ten years, Donald Trump and other right-wing provocateurs have co-opted free-speech values to advance an agenda often at odds with liberalism and social justice (see Elon Musk’s X), while Democrats, progressives, and, arguably, the ACLU have retreated from the ideal that free speech needs to be protected regardless of the viewpoint being expressed.”

  4. They took the page out of the communist play book that say’s quietly do what you’re accusing others of doing.

I always thought SPLC was a bunch of snakes. Now we have proof and don’t give me any of this innocent until proven guilty crap.

The left’s dominoes are starting to fall. Slowly at first then it will be all at once.

I’m just waiting to witness ILhan Omar ridden out of the country on a rail.

The founders erred when limiting the President to being born here, not that we don’t have a bunch of native born criminals in both houses.

Senator Kennedy was correct when he said that most elected members of the government should be making license plates.
