Julius was more enthusiastic about the Big Kahuna burger….

Just going to put these videos next to each other. I’m not sure why McDonald’s, with its marketing budget that is probably more than the GDP of some countries, would EVER let this see daylight. Why on earth would you let Chris K, who will ever be in my mind, Commander Kale, in front of the screen calling his lunch a ‘product’ instead of a tasty burger?

Of course Burger King, Wendy’s and A&W are getting in on the action too.

With everything going on the world, figured a little levity to take you into the weekend wouldn’t be a bad thing.

  1. Classic vid with Samuel L.

    Thanks!

  2. The first one is a weasel who is (apparently) a vegetarian pussy.
The second one, while an asshole in real life, is a fine actor.

You’d think the McDonalds people would have gotten Christie some acting lessons

  3. The McDonald’s guy taking as small a bite as possible, looks like he’s biting into a turd sandwich. I’d bet he didn’t get any burger in that ridiculously small nosh.

The rest are at least enthusiastically taking what looks the bite of a hungry person.

    Samuel L. – Classic.

  4. Big Arch. Describes the shape of that limp thing pretty well.
It ain’t real cheese if it’s “gooey goodness”. Blech.

  5. boneman–IMO can never go wrong with Pulp Fiction videos.

B–Exactly. I don’t know what they were thinking. And over the last day or so, they’re doubling down.

Nemo–He probably should have laid off the kale smoothies before shooting that video. The rest may be better actors but they looked like they were enjoying their tasty burgers. And yes, that scene was classic.

    steves–Agreed! I don’t think it’s what’s for dinner, or lunch, ever.

Matthew–That tells the rest of the tale.

  6. You know, just thinking about it, I haven’t had a burger from any of those places in at least a decade, probably much longer. There’s a BBQ nearby that’ll make a burger – a big burger, thick patty, grilled over a smokey pit, that’ll beat anything else you’ve ever had. Plus several other local places that’ll beat any chain place. Had a Sonic burger last week with the grandkids and couldn’t believe how much it sucked in comparison. Also, I’m totally over the smash burger thing – give me a single thick juicy patty any day. But yeah, that McD commercial is totally sick, not the good sick, the horrible who the hell thought that was ok kind of sick.

  7. Thanks to my food allergy (soy) I can not eat any fast food . That really does not bother me too much. Fast food usually takes almost as long as a sit down place, and really isn’t food , and is way more expensive than it should be. People pay a lot of money for convenience . Now days I’ll look for Mom & Pop diners and hole in the wall Mexican places and grab a decent burrito , way tastier and more nutritious than the franchise places .
