Musings from the State of the Union

I was letting this sit for a little bit to try to parse through the major things I noticed.

Firstly, Al Green. What a dimwit. Or he just wants to get the award for being the first one kicked out of every State of the Union.

Secondly, the Dems. Wow. A lot there. A whole bunch of them decided to not attend. Which made their side look a lot smaller, which, IMO is good. They learned the lesson from last year and actually stood and clapped for the heroes and other guests of the President so they didn’t look like total assholes. But then they decided to look like total assholes and not stand up for citizens vs. murderous illegals. We know where their loyalties are. And they fell right into Trump’s trap by not standing, which means that collectively their IQs are Newsom or Al Green level.

Thirdly, the Supremes. Pretty sure Roberts was wanting to burst into tears. Comey-Barrett looked poleaxed. Not sure how they choose whose going to be there but Kagan as the representative of the SCOTUS mini-squad was the least objectionable choice.

Fourthly, Marco Rubio. He’s living the meme. Probably was just hoping that he wouldn’t get a new job or responsibility during the speech. Gotta say, he has been impressive in all of his roles.

Lastly, the US Men’s Hockey team. Love those guys. And the Medal of Freedom for the goalie. They are the epitome of Olympic Champions. And the veterans and servicemen who were decorated right then and there. It got awfully dusty on the couch for a few minutes.

There’s more, like the complete lack of class on the Dem side who were wearing ‘Fuck ICE’ badges to this event. But it’s to be expected, they are both classless and clueless and really couldn’t give a two shits about our country or the citizens they purport to represent. Did hear the fact that the women’s team decided to change their tune and show up at the White House at some point. Too little too late. They are assholes too.

Trump did what he does best and showcased success as well as laid out plans for the future as well as gave reasons why he wanted them.

    President Trump kept calling out the Dems stupidity and sheer dumbassery. And kept bringing said stupidity and DAery to the attention of the camera crews.

    All while giving the longest State of the Union speech in recorded history.

    He just didn’t spank the Dems. He sent them to bed without their dinners.

    And calling out the Somali fraud while looking directly at Illan Omar was a priceless moment.

    I’m looking forward to next year’s SOTU.

    Mr. and Mrs. Trump are NOT to be trifled with, that’s for sure. LOL… the sheer amount of restraint on display from Melania… for not walking across the room and slapping the rag right off Omar’s head was amazing.

    Had that witch disrespected little old insignificant ME, MY Mrs. would have gone full-out BRONX GIRL on her.

    When President Trump pointed at the D’s and said “You should be ashamed of yourselves” it was truly a salient moment. Point made right there was that indeed, they have NO SHAME at all.

    And when he called them “Crazy” I laughed for a full minute.

    Bravo, Sir! Bravo! Bravo! Bravissimo!!!!

    The camera went to several politicians that I could not readily identify. A suggestion for future SOTU and for other bipartisan meetings is to identify each person, state, and party they represent. We can then observe the behavior of each. Sitting there with arms crossed and sour look on their faces is not a good look. Then we have another bit of information when we go to vote. Did you see Senator Kelly (D-Arizona). Imagine looking at that face for 4 years?Horrors!

    DJT was masterful, but he won’t be around forever. Marco is really coming up strong. JD is also, but needs to work on his scowl.

    @MWC Everything you wrote especially “the veterans and servicemen who were decorated right then and there. It got awfully dusty on the couch for a few minutes” on my couch also.

    That 100 year old Navy Vet receiving The Medal from the First Lady almost released the flood.

    The entire 1 hour and 47 minutes was the best political theater in decades especially when Trump repeatedly shamed the Demonrats. Ilhan Omar and Pelosi getting slapped by name was just icing on the cake.

    Taking the dissenting opinion, my streak of not listening to the State of the Union remains unblemished.

    Gone are the days were the annual report could be handed to the Speaker of the House on one or two pieces of paper.

    Now on both sides of the aisle it’s just political theatre.

    And, still, they sat. Their loyalty shown, when a challenge thrown, as still, they sat. The right and just, actions for trust, could not be brought to hand. For when they should, for the right, and good, they still, would not stand. To respect of honor, will, and duty, a simple act was asked, and still, they sat. Imagine that. No loyalty there, to principle or care, of that which their oath demands. The purpose, thus, we all must trust, is they only can pillage their land. Stand, lift up to show, your pride of country and man! Be brave, be righteous, stand and show your resolve! Yet, sadly, still, oh so still, they sat.
    The miscreants (D- Blue Zones) were not victims of any trap laid by Trump. They were hoisted by their own petard. He simply explained the observed facts.

    The most classless group of people in the world, the dems.
    I have no idea and perhaps someone can shine a light in the dark on this, but….. if the dems are polling so low right now, why is there such concern that they will “Blue wave” the midterms?
    Are we missing something? Election thievery again perhaps?
    What do they know that we don’t?
