Captain Kirk meets Heavy Metal

William Shatner, following in the footsteps of the late, great Christopher Lee, is working on a metal album. He’s working with the likes of Ritchie Blackmore, Zac Wylde, and Henry Rollins. There’s going to be covers of songs by Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, and Judas Priest.

He’s delved into song before (actually just spoken word set to music) but this will be something different.

He doesn’t have Lee’s pipes or range, but it should be fun.

And at 94 years old, more power to him!

  1. Some cover songs:
    Turbo Lift Lover
    We’ve Got Another Tribble Coming
    All Phasers Blazing
    Breaking the Prime Directive
    The Green Orion
    Iron Vulcan
    War Klingon
    Bark at Ceti Alpha V
I agree at 94, go for it.

  2. My favorite stupor bowl commercial was Will Shat doing the shredded wheat to keep you regular, along with General Shitzu.

Gotta love The Shatner, even if he is a Canuck.

  3. I dont know, Bills crack at “Lucy in the sky with diamonds” was pretty heinous , Just as memorable as Lenoard Nimoy’s remake of “Proud Mary”. Might be good for a few laughs or put it on to guests to leave the party.

  4. +1 C.R.C

I believe the CIA used The Shat’s version of Lucy in The Sky with Diamonds to break AQ prisoners. More effective than waterboarding.
