Dogs are better than we deserve as people

Some people are shit-head assholes and do not deserve the love and devotion that dogs give.

Officers were called to the airport just before 11:40 p.m. after receiving reports of a dog that had been left behind at the ticket counter, police said in a Facebook statement.

The video shows the woman walking up to the counter with the dog running around behind her. That section of the video clip does not include audio. The woman eventually walks away, leaving the dog’s leash tied to a ticket counter.

She was arrested on the charges of animal abandonment as well as resisting arrest. The two year old doodle was taken in by a rescue organization. She didn’t bother to show up to claim him (definitely for the best). Imagine if she got him as a puppy and then just walked away after two years because it was inconvenient and because she couldn’t even be bothered to get a friend to come pick him up and keep him safe.

“This sweet boy is incredible. Truly incredible. And after everything he’s been through, the thought of him ever experiencing abandonment again has us on very high alert. We will be extremely intentional in choosing his forever family,” Retriever Rescue of Las Vegas said in a statement. “He deserves stability. Security. Commitment. A lifetime promise.”

I wish they would publicize this woman’s face and name so that she will not ever be able to get another dog. Complete shunning from society would also be in order.

Never trust anyone who doesn’t like dogs and anyone who would treat a dog like that should be avoided completely.

  1. Dogs are the best. Anyone that mistreats them is a problem.

Yet another reason to defenestrate the Muslims from the country.

    Times Square is not theirs!!

Tomorrow Feb 20, when they perform their Ramadan conquest prayer, we will join with our dogs!

  3. @lnac – for once I hope that they are pit bulls and American XL Bullies (definitely NOT my favourite dogs) though a few Neapolitan Mastiffs wouldn’t be amiss either.

Just remember to have them chomp down on some Tide pods so they are foaming at the mouth. Or would that be considered unacceptable cruelty to dogs?

  4. My brother has a doodle and I think (he won’t admit cause, you know, shame and all) that he paid over $3000 for it. Those dogs aren’t cheap. I mean, if nothing else, I’m not leaving a $3000 pet behind.

But even if it was a pound puppy, what the hell where they thinking going to the airport with it and not knowing if all the paperwork was correct? IDK, some people are idiots and don’t deserve pets.

  5. I admit that I don’t understand dogs. They live with us, know we are only human, and still treat us like gods.

I think it was Mark Twain that said: Heaven goes by favor. If it went by merit, you would stay out and your dog would go in.

  6. Probably one of the many rectal cavities that bought a dog in a whim during COVID due to copious time at home, and now doesn’t care to deal with the ongoing commitment required for the proper care of a dog.

Could’ve been worse, she might have abandoned the dog in the middle of nowhere to fend for itself. At least here, it was sent straight to a shelter where it will receive proper care, and will be re-homed with decent folks.

  9. You can judge a lot by how a person treats their dogs. If she would casually abandon her dog in an airport , does anyone think she would have your back in hard times ?

I’m think she thought to ship the dog. Then when told of the requirements and paperwork and fees, she decided forget about it.

Still, none of that matters when in the light of she abandoned a dog in an unfamiliar place. She should get three years in an 8×5 to think about her actions. Then the public stocks for one week.
