Closing a data loophole in Indiana

Sex markers on drivers licenses, will no longer be updated in Indiana based on court orders or a document from a doctor (unless the person has gone through all of the steps).

I just want to ponder the second one for a little bit. So a doctor, who has no legal authority, has been allowed for years to dictate sex markers to the state of Indiana.

This change means that the data system will no longer be gamed for the few.

As we all know, and as the dems have been working the system for decades, drivers licenses are considered to be a primary form of identification. That is why they’ve fought for drivers licenses for illegals and are wailing and gnashing their teeth about this change as well. Because a drivers license is a gateway for other changes, such as passports on the federal level.

ABC7 helping gives advice and links for people who want to continue to circumvent this change.

On the Amending Your Driver’s License or Identification Card page, the only accepted documents for changing one’s gender marker are “a certified, amended birth certificate,” “A Physician’s Statement of Gender Change – State Form 55617, completed by both you and your physician,” or A physician’s statement signed and dated on letterhead that includes this language from 140 IAC 7-1.1-3: “ successfully underwent all treatment necessary to permanently change gender from to .”

Basically a person would have to change the sex on their birth certificate or actually complete a physical transformation.

This is an important step in plugging the hole in the data stream.

  1. Once in a great while, someone with some common sense makes it into a government position. I contend that regardless of what butchery anyone is exposed to, that the sex specified on the birth certificate OR the findings of a DNA test (xy or xx) should be the ONLY criteria for establishment of the sex of record.

I’m not aware of any existing treatment that can permanently, or even temporarily, change gender. Unless someone comes up with a way to alter DNA and change all XX chromosomes to XY, or vice versa, it ain’t gonna happen and any one signing such a document should be prosecuted for falsifying an official document.
