If it fits, it ships… The first DirecTV satellites were shipped from El Segundo, California to the launch site (French Guiana) via either UPS or FedEx. Evidently it was a really tight fit putting the satellite on the aircraft.

All funny but the Batman & Robin coming thru Star Trek’s “The city on the edge of forever” portal was awesome! Thanks M/W Chick. It’s crazy because Irwin Allen’s “Time Tunnel” series debuted the same week in ’66 as Star Trek and to my knowledge, neither had anything to do with Dozier’s Batman & Robin series.
