    “Do it… We ain’t here for long.”

    In talking to people in their 80s, I have not heard any of them regret something they did. But I have heard plenty of regrets of things they did not do.

    Unferth- those in their 80s probably made it that long because they didn’t do a lot of regrettable things.

    The regrets I heard were things like working over time versus taking the kid to little league. Not taking more vacations when they were younger. Not asking the girl out in high school. Those sorts of things.

    I’ve suggested to friends that “I’ll Be Glad When You’re Dead, You Rascal, You” would be something I’d like played at my funeral.
