    Need a link for the bookmark! LOVE that!

    My first Hot Wheels came from Hawthorne California. (Old much?)

    And of course, and old Wilford Brimley quote comes to mind: “Sometimes in order to get the mule’s attention, one must hit it across the forehead with a board.” or maybe a 2 x 4 🙂

      boneman–I’d love to have that one too. Did you notice that they started cheaping out on the bottom of the cars over time? Yes, the clue by 4 needs to stop in people’s neighborhoods sometimes. Glad you like and you’re welcome!

        TORSION BAR SUSPENSION. NYLON WHEEL BEARINGS. THOSE…. where “HOT WHEELS”.

        Sadly, my Mom decided that my massive collection should be passed on to my cousin. :-S

        As to cheapening out… let’s see… the original sweet 16 Hot Wheels in 1968 sold for a dollar. AN ENTIRE 1968 DOLLAR.

        That was TWO WEEKS ALLOWANCE for this boy… but WAIT… NO, WRONG!!!! 5% NJ SALES TAX!!!

        I started hating taxes very early in life. 😉

        They don’t sell for much more than that now, do they. So yeah…. “cheapening” is the operative word for sure.

        I DO still have my original REDLINE WHEELS Red Baron though!

    Wow! What an uproarious collection. Stole more than a couple, so many I have go through my phone’s photo album and delete a bunch of the old ones. Especially liked the I Love You gif. ;-))

    The prison system. Substantially more aggressive in meting out justice than the courts, just ask Jeffrey Dahmer. Oh, wait…

    WDS- kind of upside down that some inmates have a stronger sense of justice than “justices”- and the balls to see it through regardless of personal cost.
