Yep, we called it. The Des Moines Superintendent’s CV was falsified

And the Des Moines School board was notified and knew it and hired him anyway.

From the School Board president/former Big Mike Chief of Staff/Senatorial hopeful:

“I want to be clear. In a world of misinformation and disinformation, speculation becomes narrative and blame is rampant,” school board President Jackie Norris said in a statement. “The Des Moines School Board is also a victim of deception by Dr. Roberts, one on a growing list that includes our students and teachers, our parents and community, our elected officials and Iowa’s Board of Educational Examiners, and others. We are committed to the community we serve and will find ways to improve our entire process as we move forward.”

Let’s be perfectly clear. The school board was not deceived. They were told by the third party hiring service that he had not received his EdD. And they hired him anyway. And, maybe it’s my own thing, but an EdD, IMO, does not merit the ‘Dr.’ honorific and even though it’s proven (again) that he doesn’t have even that, she still referred to him as ‘Dr.’ instead of the much more appropriate ‘Mr.’.

Mr. Roberts has officially resigned (one wonders if he got a parachute payout).

From the article linked above, he spearheaded an effort to hire more criminals into the school district (gee, wonder why?) in addition to the DEI initiatives that would be a natural fit. The DoJ is now investigating the latter.

  1. “an EdD, IMO, does not merit the ‘Dr.’ honorific…”

“Dr.” Ill Biden would beg to differ. I rank her insistence on the ‘Dr.’ honorific, to the point of snapping at a reporter for not using the title, equal to Bill Clinton wagging his finger at us H8ers, insisting that he did not have sexual relations with his chubby intern. How dare we disrespect our betters!

  2. My favorite EdD moment was when I was a substitute teacher and “Call me Dr soandso” told me she would show me “where my classroom was at.”
Ialmost corrected her cuz I don’t like that but I wanted to go back to that school. I worked at charter schools and a couple that I liked always requested me.

  4. So, the six women on the school board FINALLY understand that the nice black man in the bow tie that they all want to bonk is really a criminal and that he’s NOT REALLY a PhD Ed. What a revelation.
