Lots of Biden folks pleading the 5th

Jill Biden’s top aide took the 5th in from of a Congressional committee that’s investigating the use of the autopen.

He had to be subpoenaed since he declined the committee’s ‘invitation’.

He’s the second one–the first one was Biden’s doctor.

Let’s contextualize: Joe Biden admitted that he didn’t individually approve each name for which commutations or pardons were given (except Hunter’s–that one was signed by hand).

Staff made changes to the list without consulting Biden (I can’t even refer to him as the president anymore).

In one instance, on January 19, the day before Biden left office, emails show that Zients personally gave his own sign-off on a last-minute draft summary minutes after receiving an email seeking its approval, according to the Times.

“…Mr. Zients hit ‘reply all’ and wrote, ‘I approve the use of the autopen for the execution of all of the following pardons,’” according to the email.

Anything signed by Biden’s autopen should be reversed. Rand Paul has suggested that Fauci would be the perfect test case.

  1. Preponderance of evidence convicts them anyway, but there are no judges or prosecutors to do it. Branch and noose time. Lotsa customers…

  2. The Constitutional order was badly shaken by electing the Kenyan. Electing the Vegetable will have shattered it, unless the damage he did is reversed in its entirety — including the pardons.

  3. Never underestimate the ability of Joe (and any of his cronies) to F things up. By accident, or on purpose – the results are the same. Ignorance is only an excuse the first time. After that, we have to assume that his actions were all deliberately destructive. What a legendary scumbag. FJB.

  4. I remember being scolded by Democrats years ago, that pleading the Fifth meant you were actually guilty………..

  6. So his associates and cronies are pleading the fifth, while pedo joey is kneading the fifth (graders). No surprises to be found in any of that. And for what it’s worth, I never referred to that pant-shitting scum of the earth by his job title for any of the 4 years he ostensibly held it. Fuck that guy.

I don’t say this lightly, but I hope the dementia wrecks him slowly and miserably. And his family, too, from having to deal with it. There’s a certain justice in that outcome, since they all deserve a heap of suffering.

  7. +1 to what B.R. Dave said… with the caveat that WE… are dealing with the fallout from a lot of it resultant from when he was in office… and will be for a long time. Unfortunately yes, HE was not in control… and it was the “hidden forces” that were that are responsible for a lot of it.

The malfeasance that went on was so underhanded and wide-spread it will take decades to unwind and rescind. And that’s only IF there are folks in command that are able and willing. I thought there were… but at the moment, I’m beginning to have my doubts.

  8. stefan–They sure are slippery and use our laws against us.

    Francis–Agree on all counts.

TRoy–At this point I think he was so far gone in dementia that his MOST RECENT crimes are not his fault (he’s got a history when he was VP though). But those that used him as a sock puppet should swing.

KurtP–They say a lot of things that are actually projection and come up and bite them on the ass.

    crazyeighter–Truth!

BRD–Either fortunately or unfortunately, the dementia patient loses any sense of self. And that lot will have him in a state home faster than you can imagine.

boneman–I’m starting to lose the faith as well that they have the will or means to unscrozzle this mess.

  9. When they’ve wrung the very last out of Pedo Joe, there will be a convenient late-night “unfortunate medication error” and we’ll have weeks of the MSM slobbering over his memory.

  10. When you accept the mantle of responsibility that comes with commander in chief, you ARE responsible for all of your own actions, whether anyone holds you to account or not. Blind, crippled, or crazy- he oversaw the office. Never forget that he threatened the livelihoods of a huge number of his own citizens in order to coerce everyone into taking experimental and harmful “medication “.

  12. MWC- I’ve no doubt his “family” (really just a bunch of self serving grifters who happen to be genetically related, except for jill) will throw him in a nursing home. I’m sure you know how bad things are in most nursing homes now, so that is a punishment in itself. And I’ll take any suffering that can be inflicted on him, since I know for damn sure he won’t face any actual justice as we typically define it. The guy should face a firing squaud, but it’ll never happen.

  13. TRoy, any military person can tell you what it’s like to get their ass chewed for the actions of a subordinate, whether you were physically present or not.
    President should be no different.

  14. crazyeighter- as a former military dude myself- I can verify. Those ass-rippings are the worst- but they still belong to you- you are always responsible for the actions of your men. That’s what REAL leadership is all about.

  15. crazyeighter–I thought that was going to happen before the election….

TRoy–I totally agree. But if he’s so far gone at the start, he wouldn’t be capable of understanding that responsibility. And truthfully, even when he was okay, he didn’t understand that responsibility.

WDS–They had a third one go the 5th route today.

BRD–Best we can hope for is that he gets what he deserves when he shuffles off his mortal coil.

crazyeighter–Yep. But in this case the ‘leader’ has the mental capacity of a small child.

TRoy–That’s what’s so egregious about the whole situation.

  16. Kurt – SCOTUS held in Burdick vs US (1915) that a pardon had to be accepted by the pardoned individual in order to be valid, and that accepting a pardon was an admission of guilt.

  17. wheels–But pleading the 5th isn’t. The pardon definitely is–I think a couple of Jan 6 folks did not accept Trump’s pardon so they could take their cases through the system.
