Well, she can’t define a woman, no surprise she doesn’t understand her frickin’ job….

Sorry not sorry if it seems like I’m slamming on Justice DEI, but she keeps talking and putting things into writing… If someone lobs something up, I sometimes have no choice but to spike it in.

In this case:

“Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson said Thursday that the ‘state of our democracy’ keeps her up at night, echoing a theme that has animated some of her recent public appearances and fiery dissents from recent decisions,” the post on social media platform X read.

Here’s the quote from her that chapped my ass:

“I just feel that I have a wonderful opportunity to tell people in my opinions how I feel about the issues, and that’s what I try to do.”

That’s not her job. Her job is to evaluate cases that come before the Supreme Court and examine them in light of the Constitution. Which is the only litmus that should be used.

So she’s admitted publicly that her role as a Justice, is to merely be an activist and give her opinion. Regardless if that opinion relates to the Constitution or not.

I would hope that this would be used by the other Justices to sideline her at best. Maybe, just maybe, if she got a good enough offer, she would quit to go back to Broadway and stay there.

Or she could be impeached. AOC tried to introduce articles against Thomas and Alito. She’s showing that she’s incapable of doing the job–it’s not just ideological.

  1. If ignorance really is bliss, then Ketanji must be the happiest person on the planet. Her tombstone will likely read “she forgot to breathe”. Imbecile.

    1. In the case where the Court in an 8-1 decision upheld the President’s power for his executive order on mass federal workforce layoffs to proceed, Jackson’s dissent showed me that she never read the Constitution or forgot everything that she read.

Article 2 of the Constitution defines the executive power of the United States. And, the first sentence says: “ The executive Power shall be vested in a President of the United States of America.”

I am not a Supreme Court justice, but I know what that means!

And apparently, so do all eight of the other justices.

That sounds very Clinton-esque. I mean the she-beast. Feigned concern, to ingratiate herself to the masses. The very same who do struggle to make ends meet. How more steps in the Marxist parade before the self-appointed can drop the pretense?

That this imbecilic woman was confirmed tells how wide and deep the corruption in the Senate. She needs to be gone. The heat is on. Who in Congress has the gumption to carry it through.
    (Don’t answer, it’s rhetorical.)

There is a different way. These kind of creatures are very sensitive to criticism. This DEI hire needs to be mocked and ridiculed everywhere at once in the most brutal yet efficient manner. Nowhere to hide, nowhere to run but to retire to a dank cavern.

    Meme team, get to work.

Rick–Oddly enough there are no memes. I’m waiting… patiently.

  5. Twice now she’s been spanked for being stupid. You’d think she’ll get the message. Don’t count on it.

Jackson is Obozo/Bribem’s middle finger to The People.

There’s no other way to explain why she was nominated and confirmed.

I’m waiting to see if she recuses when the men in women’s sports EO lawsuit comes to docket next term. It would be great if she doesn’t, then Roberts orders her recusal. What a precedent THAT would be.

Now imagine the damage that Kamalala or a court packing scheme would have done to this once venerable institution.

We can still hope that Sotomayor or Kagan retire while Trump has a chance to appoint a replacement. Probably not going to happen.

I know they can’t be doing it at Harvard.

  7. It actually is very easy to explain how she was nominated, Biden himself said that he was only going to nominate a black woman. We could also infer that he was only going to nominate a progressive black woman. Kind of sad statement that she was the most qualified, progressive, black woman that they could find.

    1. Sad, but not the least bit surprising.

  8. Len–Both wise sayings…

Nemo–The Senate has a hand in that. Romney, Murkowski, and Collins voted to confirm her. If they’d stayed with the Republicans, she wouldn’t have gotten in. And she’ll never recuse herself.

Gerry–Not from the amount of plagiarism going on there.

    Unferth–I agree.

    crazyeighter–And that says it all.

  9. The problem is that it was obvious that she should never have been confirmed. Unfortunately, with her being a black woman, the Republicans in the Senate weren’t willing to let themselves be characterized (again) as racists by not confirming her.

Ginsburg got on the Court because the Republicans in the Senate went to Clinton and said, “You’re planning to nominate , who isn’t qualified and won’t be confirmed. Here’s a list of liberals who *are* qualified and we can confirm.” Ginsburg was on that list.

Unfortunately, the political climate has deteriorated to the point that no-one would (or, perhaps, could) go to Biden like that. Of course, the WH staff wouldn’t have *let* anyone try to negotiate with Biden like that, either.

KBJ is a strict constitutional ebonics textualist. Unfortunately, our Constitution was written in english. Her adjudication stance is crippling the liberal justices, not a bad thing at all.

It seems that “advise and consent” thing in the Senate isn’t working very well. Which is what one would expect in today’s integrity-less political environment.

I get that the Left would have screamed about and pilloried anyone who voted against her. But….47 senators – all of whom were Republicans – did have the integrity to vote “nay.” Not a single Democrat voted against her; fully expected, that, as was the three specific Rs who succumbed.

Now everyone in the country gets to suffer because of the Feckless Three.
