Closing the Birth Certificate sex change loophole

The Indiana AG, Todd Rokita, is making the state of Indiana a party to trial courts who are ordering the Indiana Department of Health to change the sex noted on birth certificates. He rightly (IMO) states that these orders are causing the falsification of records.

Attorney General Todd Rokita is filing motions to intervene in cases in which Indiana trial courts have ordered the Indiana Department of Health (IDOH) to change the designation of sex on birth certificates to reflect preferred gender identities.

“We’re taking a stand not only for the rule of law but also for common sense,” Attorney General Rokita said. “Indiana law requires birth certificates to reflect the historical, immutable fact of a child’s sex. One should have no more ability to change the listed sex on a birth certificate years after the fact than to change the newborn’s listed length or weight.”

In dozens of instances, trial courts have ordered IDOH to change the historical record of a newborn’s sex.

This has been a huge hole in the datastream due to all the things for which a birth certificate can be used (or misused).

As examples: passports, drivers licenses all can use birth certificates as a form of identification. They can also be misused to get males into female sports (well, their birth certificate says…). This last thing was happening in Texas.

It’s a loophole that needs to be closed in all states.

Truthfully also, these changes have put people’s lives in danger. If someone comes to the emergency room, biological sex matters, even if they’ve had all the surgeries possible. Because men and women react differently to medicines and present heart attacks differently, just as a couple of examples.

Glad to see action being taken!!

  1. The attacks on basic facts and common sense- as in- no one can say what a man or woman is- are really attacks on the traditional Western family. If we can be coerced into calling a man a woman and vice versa- we can be pressured into anything. The traditional family has been under attack by quasi Communist groups in this country for decades. One thing is sure- you can pay a doctor to chop up your plumbing, and give you an innie instead of an outie, but if that same doctor does a DNA test on you, you’ll still have either an X and a Y chromosome, or two Xs, just like God gave you before you were born.

  2. How is it that we’ve arrived here after 250 years? McCarthy was right all along. Imagine the field day he’d have with Obama, the root cause, IMHO, of all the boolchit they’ve put us through in the twenty years.

  3. Sorry RJ, you’re completely missing the point.

The problem is not when such a real biological mistake occurs — yes, Mother Nature makes mistakes. The problem is when people like you use these exceptionally rare freaks of nature to attack and humiliate people.

Ultimately, there was nothing biologically wrong with William Thomas. He was a failed male swimmer that decided to invade women’s spaces and forced young women to see his junk, and forced young women to undress in front of him. If you’re going to pull out some hypothetical, exceptionally rare biological condition to justify that, I suggest you are part of the problem. People like William Thomas and people that support them should be properly labeled as sex-offenders, forced to register their presences with the police, and absolutely forbidden from being around women and children.

This directly ties to the issue at hand. William Thomas would probably be one to gladly retroactively change his birth-certificate in order to wave an official government document around claiming that he is female and entitled to leer at your daughter’s private parts in a public restroom.

I will cheerfully discriminate against the extremely small number of freaks of nature if it protects the vast majority of women and children from the entirely too common William Thomases of this world.

  4. RJ- Your argument and anecdotal example are not relevant to the topic at hand, no matter how much your apparently would like for them to be. Don’t try to complicate the simplest of concepts with -“I saw this goat once that….”.

  5. RJ,

I think we have a different opinion on who is weaponizing the birth certificate issue. At this point it is the trans-movement. Your waving the flag for an exceptionally rare biological event and saying, “see, you’re being mean” shows a grotesque dishonesty on what is happening.

I notice too that you’ve expanded the original extremely rare biological/anatomical event with psychological. Funny how there was significantly fewer cases of trans before they started trying to groom the children. Ditto on homosexuality. This is exactly why the children need to be protected from those pushing the gay or trans agenda.

And, no. I am not conflating two different issues. You are just turning a blind-eye to how the birth certificate issue is being used by the trans movement to aid in their war against innocent women and children.

I don’t know. Maybe you hate your mother, daughters, and children in general. Maybe you don’t object to seeing them sexually assaulted. I know my brother-in-law sided with the man who violent raped his daughters, not once, not twice, but hundreds of times over the course of years. I find that position absolutely abhorrent, but I also understand that there are mentally defective men that take that position.

Now, if you actually came out against William Thomas exposing himself to young women. Or actively spoke out against attacking the women for not wanting to mistreated, you would gain credibility. I won’t hold my breath. Because I believe your exceptionally, biological event that you originally hung your hat on was merely a pretext, a way to bully those that disagree with you into silence.

  7. RJ is slippery. He will try to change the subject, or conflate two issues, he continuoulsly cha ges his position and will try to tell you that he”Didn;t say that” or “Didn’t mean that” whennti is right there in balck and white.

He is the worst kind of Liberal, one that cannot and will not take a stand except that “you are wrong and he is right” and will not take responsibility for his words,

He is a loser, a troll, an ass, and a weasel. Don’t bother. I tried with him on MiddleOfTheRight and wasted many electron and bits and Bytes. He isn’t looking to learn anything, he is there to preach.

Like a apiece of gum on the bottom of your shoe, once he gets there he is hard to scrape off.
