Letting their hypocrisy flag fly free… NIH employees would rather quit than move…

A bunch of higher level officials at the NIH were told they were being reassigned to the Indian Health Service. They could choose Oklahoma, Alaska, or New Mexico. Which meant that they had to leave the Beltway. IMO, that is awesome and needed. The federal government needs to be spread out to burst the echo chamber in which they presently live and work.

One of those given this choice was Fauci’s wife, Christine Grady. As a reminder, she was the Chief of the Department of Bioethics at the NIH. Which meant that she signed off on her husband’s activities (including the soulless, ghastly beagle study) as well as the one who told nurses to get the covid shot or else get fired. So yeah, dirty as the bottom of a midden heap.

She chose to quit as did many others. Which is actually pretty sad. These ‘dedicated’ public servants, according to one guy, ‘just want to do good’ preferred to quit rather than to help under-served populations. And many articles referred to this action as ‘exiling’ people. Those are as emblematic of the rot as anything else. If you’d rather quit than live in Oklahoma, then you can just walk east until your hat floats. And keep on walking.

  1. Speaks volumes… you have the coin to just quit like that. How many of us could do that?

  2. Fauci and his wife are worth over $11,000,000. She was in it for the power, not the money. Might as well retire, write a narcissistic book, and bask in the adoration of the totalitarians as she weeps about being a victim.

  3. While I agree with the premise, I highly doubt I’d get my wife to move to Oklahoma and I know for sure the res in New Mexico and Alaska are not happening.

The 20 year old me would be up for the “adventure” but the 60+ year old homeowner would say no thanks as well. Take the retirement and move on. DOGE lowers the head count and everyone comes out ahead.

  4. I’ve thought for a long time now that the three branches need to be in separate locations. Bonus – make the House and Senate locate to two different locations as well. Maybe it will make life a little more difficult for bureaucrats and lobbyists – but I can live with that.

  5. This comes as no surprise. These people are drunk on power (and the fortune it makes them). But they are also covetous of the status and perception it affords them, because they are inveterate image whores. They want the expensive home in DC or NOVA, they want to attend all the right parties and events, wine and dine on champagne and caviar. Living and “working” in east bumfuck – or even worse, on or near the rez – takes all that away from them, an absolutely intolerable state of affairs if ever one existed.

Personally I’d prefer to just see them all taken out and shot like the criminals they are, as even getting them to retire still allows them to draw pensions and enjoy the grandiose life that WE funded from taxes. Yeah, it pisses me off to know they are not only still costing me money, but are actually getting along splendidly. Not because I envy their lifestyle, but because they quite literally stole it from the productivity of others. And thieves at this scale should be brutally punished, not rewarded.

  6. I’m with Big Ruckus, most of those people are traitors to our country and yet they’ll retire and draw a healthy pension for years, living a retirement that most working class people could only dream about. They should be tried, convicted, and shot.

  7. boneman–Lots of money in Big Pharma that got shoveled back to the NIH, CDC, and FDA. All based on taxpayer dollars.

    Unferth–Just like her murdering spouse.

    Gerry–I get it. But it’s still telling….

Frank–Agree–with communications now, there’s no need for a centralized federal government.

BRD–I think old-school hard time would be best after they are stripped of their government pensions. They definitely don’t need to be sucking out of Social Security either.

Don–I’m a fan of the first two. I’d rather see them financially destroyed and working in a field.
