Things that still make me say WTF

In a revisit of this issue because I’ve posted on it before, Tulsi Gabbard just revoked classified materials access for the following miscreants: Hillary Clinton, Andrew Vindman, Liz Cheney, Adam Kinzinger, Kamala Harris and Fiona Hill.

None of whom have a position in the government. But retained their access to materials to which they have no right. Most of them have proven themselves to be security risks through their actions.

So seriously, WTF? I know that there was considerable discussion before on this, but I still contend that it is seriously bad practice to let people keep clearances. I don’t care about their future employment or the cost associated with re-doing the process.

Might help put an end to the revolving door too.

    More likely the high profile security revocations are similar to the DOGE illuminations: how many millions more are to be found and will they be likewise administered?

    The excuse was that they retained their clearances so that they could be current on events should they need to be consulted about things that happened in the past.

    In reality it made them valuable to non government entities that employed them.

    This is just another example of “it’s a big club and you ain’t in it.”

    I had a top secret clearance when I served. That clearance was revoked on the day I separated from the service. Serving in the upper echelons of government should be no different, especially for someone like Hitlery.

    B–And it was just an excuse but did definitely pad their paychecks.

    steves6–Just one thing of many….

    Nemo–Right. Two tiered is two tiered. No reason for them to have that type of clearance if they aren’t doing the job.

    Randy–A bump for their retirement.

    I worked for INR in State Dept. I had very high security clearances, including codeword. Once I retired I lost my security clearances. There is no reason for someone not connected or employed by the govt to have a security clearances. This is especially true in cases where security protocols have been thrashed and leaked. What is amazing is the number of individuals who are not govt. employees who apparently have security clearances. It does explain why our security services cannot protect our vital national interests.

    How about investigations, arrests, trials, asset forfeiture, lengthy incarceration or even death penalties? Gates, Soros, Schwab et al should swing, and many of their lackeys too.
