The governor of Wisconsin would almost be better off ceding his state to Pritzker because the stupid is running hard and fast behind the Cheddar Curtain.
Woke is over, erasing women is over, and sure as fuck calling a mother an ‘inseminated person’ is so 2021 (not to mention that it’s really patriarchal since it makes the women just a vessel). Guessing Evers really has internalized The Handmaid’s Tale.
The Evers administration’s budget recommendation for the 2025-2027 fiscal period advises several other gendered terms be changed, as well. References to “wife” or “husband” are changed to “spouse” in the proposal. In other places, the word “father” is changed to “parent,” and “mother” is swapped out for the phrase “parent who gave birth to the child.”
I would hope that this would be a topic of discussion at the Friday supper clubs and fish fries and that the Wisconsin legislature shit-cans this crap as quickly as possible.
