  3. B–There’s actually an anti-bias hotline in WA and OR that went into play on January 1, 2025. Not sure about the hyperbole, but part of it is accurate. https://app.leg.wa.gov/RCW/default.aspx?cite=43.10.305. There was also SHB 1333 last year but I don’t know if it passed.

On the North River–I figured it was common knowledge, but I guess it isn’t.

  9. I wanna see someone convicted of “Hate Speech” in Wa before I believe it is more than just words.

The person posting the original kinda twisted what the law says into something that it is not. But, again, that’s what we expect out of Social Media these days. If you believe everything that is posted because it fits your confirmation bias, then you are a fool.

Read the original post says, and then read the refenced law. and

  10. Blueray–Sounds like you dodged a bullet.

    B–https://governor.wa.gov/sites/default/files/2023-01/Hate%20Crimes%20FAQ.pdf

Just because these incidents cannot be criminally charged does not mean they are not important to report. These kinds of incidents have negative impacts on whole communities and deserve to be elevated and understood by the public. Some examples of bias incidents include: • Yelling profanity and insults; • Distributing racist flyers in public places; and • Displaying hateful materials on private property.

As I said, the person was hyperbolic, that does not mean there is not a grain of truth. The definition of racist or hateful is infinitely mutable.

Please no name calling. That includes referring to other commentors using derogatory terms.

  12. Regarding the Mosquito photo…does the Mosquito crew get to paint a sedan on the side of the cockpit or does the sedan owner paint a Mosquito on its’ door?

  13. Bones–Well darn. I’ll make a note on the meme. Appreciate the heads-up.

    TN Budd–Too true.

Peaowed–It’ll depend on if the Mosquito crashed into the sedan, or if it was landed and the sedan crashed into it. But I got the mental picture and laughed–thanks! 🙂
