   Last one: That’s the result they’re looking for.

   Vigilantism rises when victims believe the system no longer serves them. The no-bail, soft on crime crowd realize this so they have to prosecute anyone who steps up. Even if they don’t get a conviction, the process is the punishment; and the goal is to get people to just sit back and watch the show.
