Ending the year on a higher note

Lowes and NASCAR are doing what the federal government can’t. They’re delivering tiny homes to Western North Carolina. They got 100 of them up the mountain from Charlotte before Christmas.

Lowes got ’em built and NASCAR’s haulers got them where they needed to go.

That’s a fifth of what is needed, but considering the fact that the feds only delivered 46 out of 500 by the first week of December, I’m saying that motivated folks are better than feds who don’t have skin in the game.

But 100 more people slept better for Christmas thanks to the Lowes/NASCAR team.

  1. The federal government revealed its true colors by attempting to FORBID private parties and groups to aid the stricken of WNC and points west. They saw the catastrophe as a political opportunity: i.e., to eliminate a large number of conservatives and Trump supporters. They didn’t anticipate the backlash. It may well have helped to bring about the November landslide.

  2. Francis–I do think that the government’s reaction in NC and Florida did bring a lot of people out to vote for Trump. And then when the Amish came and were creating houses and that one bint said they couldn’t be used–that was another break point.
