Some thoughts about last night and about character

First thought–thank goodness it came out the way it did.  My relief is palpable.  Trump came out and lauded his family and his team as well as the voters.  Of course wins are awesome, but he spread the wealth–didn’t take the glory for himself.  And that shows character and true teamwork.  The fact that he had RFK Jr on his team.  And different groups getting on the MAGA bandwagon shows an ability to unify by actually addressing the concerns of Americans. Glorious.

Taking the Senate along with McConnell stepping down (I think he saw the writing on the wall) is going to make a huge difference as well.

—————————

Second thought–the Left has a laundry list of reasons why they lost last night.  It includes pretty much everything and everybody except for Harris herself.  The fact that NO ONE cast a vote for her in the primaries and yet was still allowed to continue is still a mystery to me.  I do wonder where that war chest will go as well…  but that’s for a different post on a different day.

Here’s the thing that’s most telling, and, to me, shows what a bullet we just dodged as a country (I mean there’s a bunch of reasons, but this is a true measure).

She didn’t show up to give a speech to her supporters last night.

All of those people who (for whatever reason) supported her and were waiting for her to tell them that even though it was a loss, their world is still going to be okay.

She bailed.  Jammed.  Took it on the lam.  Called a lid. Was a no-show.  Whatever.

And they were left with nothing.  Ashes.

And it woke up some of her supporters.

Barbara Heineback, a former White House staffer and the first black press office employee for the First Lady’s office, said she was disappointed with the Democrat.

‘I am so disappointed and really insulted that I’m a Howard alum and that she didn’t have the decency to walk out and say to her, to her university, make a comment to the United States,’ Heineback said. ‘Things were not looking well for her. It wasn’t completely over.’

‘I mean, it shows us how classless she actually is, a sore loser,’ the former White House staffer continued. ‘Even though it’s painful for her, for the Democrats, I think America might be relieved at recognizing and realizing they don’t have to put up with this any longer.’

I think this is pretty telling…

  1. I recall that when Bush 1st lost to Clinton, he came out sloshed and said thanks, bye-bye. Maybe Kommiemalla was even more blitzed? Either way, she and PedoJoe could have stumbled out together and smiled and waved.

  6. I’m a bit sceptical that the Dimoprats “lost” … My understanding is that the tax take in the USA is less than the interest payments on their national Debt and with the BRICS countries abandoning the $US, there will be a hell of a lot of foreign held Dollars returning to the US. That will cause massive inflation and make the Weimar era inflation look like a case of losing your pocket change down the back of the sofa.I have a suspicion that the Dimoprats know that this is coming and have arranged for Trump to be the president when the whole house of cards comes crashing down. They can then blame him for the disaster and introduce whatever draconian measures they want to “correct” the situation in 2029.I see Trump taking over next year as similar to being appointed as Captain of the Titanic an hour after it hit the iceberg. He’s in charge so if it slips under the waves, then he's is responsible. If he has any sense, he’ll refuse to take the oath of office – if he manages to survive until January, that is. Similarly, Elon Musk, having promised to cut the bureaucracy, has a target painted on his back and all the people that Trump wants to appoint. In the meantime, the cities will burn to demonstrate that Trump cannot govern.Phil B
