Geese and Ganders–let's see how this shakes out

GLAAD (Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation) is following in the footsteps of the NRA (National Rifle Association), ironically enough.

The NRA and Wayne LaPierre got whacked for the misuse of funds.

In the first stage, jurors in February found LaPierre and others liable for years of financial mismanagement, including the bankrolling of an extravagant lifestyle for LaPierre that included luxury travel and expensive clothing.

 And now GLAAD.

A top LGBTQ organization spent big bucks for its chief executive officer to take pricey flights, stay in ritzy hotels and summer rentals and even dropped nearly $20,000 on her home-office remodel, a damning report alleged Thursday.

GLAAD’s spending on CEO Sarah Kate Ellis, 52, was so extravagant that it worried its former chief financial officer and could have potentially violated IRS rules, according to a New York Times report that dug into payments between January 2022 and June 2023 and other documents.

Aside from the fact that it seems that all organizations, once they get to a certain amount of income, inevitably become corrupt (see BLM as an examplethe allegations were dismissed, of course),  it’ll be interesting to see if GLAAD gets the same handling as the NRA did, especially considering that both were incorporated in New York.

Betting not….

  2. “Betting not”… correct! It tears my heart to seen what the US has become.I'm not an American nor living in the west so I daily watch the, primarily, moral collapse of what was once the light on the hill. You won't vote your way out of this, for the left is 100% corrupt and the conservatives with cajones are too few and far between and horribly scattered. An army, no matter how many guns and how much ammo, will lose without cohesion. The left is united in evil, the right, divided in resolve. Those with the strength to resist are thrown in prison while we wring our hands, get mad, and go back to watching sports.
