Rant on:
Okay, I really didn’t want to do this but I more than a little annoyed.
B called out the folks over at Bustedknuckles (Cederq in particular) for posting some pretty racist shit.
In retaliation or to make a point, since B and I have a relationship, Phil over at Bustedknuckles takes a couple of my memes about free speech and how the libs use the term ‘racism’ with a comment about irony that I posted them. I’m not going to link it–it was on June 20 if you care to look.
And I can’t fucking believe that I have to explain this, but the point of the memes I posted was to show how liberals use it–NOT to be equated to, or justify actual I-can’t-believe-you-are-showing-your-ass true racism.
Which is what some of the memes over there are. And they are, to the best of my knowledge, still up. And truly, they are few and far between, but they happen often enough and they’ve gotten worse IMO.
To equate the two–actual real racism and liberal ‘you’re a racist or not using someone’s pronouns is hate speech’ is disingenuous at best and self-serving and delusional at worst.
And calling someone out for actual racism and choosing not to associate with them via bloglinks IS NOT the same as calling for someone’s blog to be removed, which is what liberals do. It’s not cancel culture, it’s freedom of association.
I’ll note that if someone has contacted me or had valid concerns about a meme I posted (it’s happened twice I think), I have generally taken it down because maybe I missed an implication. It’s part of the gig.
All that said–here’s the rub:
To bring me into an argument due to my relationship is a dick move on Phil’s part. Actually it’s more like a teenage mean girl move. And I had enough of that in middle school. So yeah, fuck off Phil. I was staying out of it until you dragged me in. So fuck off twice.
I have had to remove at least one comment from Cederq on my blog because it was over the top racist, in the true sense of the word, NOT how liberals use it and I won’t have it on my blog. His is not the only comment I have had to remove or edit for similar reasons, by the by. And the other ones came on the heels of his because I didn’t get down quickly enough or because someone is testing the waters to see what I’ll let fly.
This whole brouhaha is now causing me stress to the point where I’m now feeling the need to go through meme posts I have set up weeks in advance to make sure I’m not providing fodder. So the irony is actually that I’m having to check posts for memes about free speech and add explanatory comments. So fuck off a third time Phil.
