Saturday Meme Drop

Umm, yeah,#42 literally has my name on it and I'm afraid it's uncomfortably accurate…I also was not aware of this Microsoft Spyware bullshit so I looked it up only to find that they have been running a different one in Windows 10.I immediately went in and disabled that bullshit. You have provided a much needed service along with the entertainment and I thank you sincerely for both. Now, about that handbasket….

Phil, there's something called a “live boot” Linux that allows you to try out Linux on your computer without having to install it on your hard drive. If you mainly use your computer for email, web surfing, and some office (word, spreadsheet type stuff), you might be able to run Linux instead of Windows.Linux isn't as good for hardcore gaming, and some advanced features of Ms Word are not available, but for most people it would work well enough. Best part is no built in Spyware.I've been running Linux as my primary desktop since about 2003. I haven't had a Windows PC in over a decade (and haven't had a Mac since the 1980s).

Phil–It was an unaltered meme and as long as there's enough room in the handbasket for the rest of us, we're good. I went in and checked my Windows 10 settings too. There were some similar settings that got turned off.Anon–Interesting but unfortunately I sometimes have to use my personal PC for work and need advanced features in Word, Excel, and Access, otherwise I'd be Linux for sure.
