Fun Movie Friday: The Last Starfighter

By today’s standards, the graphics were childlike, but a great story.  Soundtrack, awesome.  Uplifting even.  Reaching for the stars and achieving greatness.

  8. One of the first movies with computer-generated animation. Each frame took hours to generate. On the other hand, I need clip 9 transferred to my off-line work network, to be used as an inspiration for the students. Not quite a Kobyashi-Maru scenario they deal with but fairly overwhelming odds. Teamwork, communication, resource management, tracking of weapons status stuff. Thinking outside the box while under pressure in simulated combat. Fun and inspirational movie.Wandering Neurons
