 After reading about measles cases in Chicago, not surprisingly in a shelter for illegals, I decided to go back and do some research.  

And I found this in Psychology Today from 2017.  As a note, this is when publications still used the word ‘illegal’.

This is why for decades and still today, the United States demands that prior to being allowed entrance into our country, those wishing to immigrate must undergo a thorough, well-defined medical history and physical examination performed by a recognized, qualified physician, a medical evaluation that includes blood work and a chest X-ray. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), “The purpose of the mandated [pre-immigration] medical examination is to detect inadmissible conditions, including communicable diseases of public health significance, mental disorders associated with harmful behavior, and substance use or substance-induced disorders.”

So how does this relate to the illegal immigration debate? Because those who enter our country illegally are not screened for TB (or other diseases). And this should be of concern to all of us.

 Whether you sit on the “build a wall” end of the spectrum or the “they’re just seeking a better life” end, accepting that treatable major health risks are freely entering into our general population is an unwise strategy, regardless of your political leaning (assuming those risks are meaningful, a debate we can have).

Seems reasonable, right?  And how many illegals have come across our Biden-porous border in the last 3 years?  Some say as many as 11 million.  Which was the estimated total number of illegals in 2015 in the US in the article. 

From a NY Post article in 2023:

A startling 50% of migrants streaming into the Big Apple are not vaccinated against the contagious and potentially deadly poliovirus, city Health Commissioner Ashwin Vasan recently revealed — as he urged doctors to help prevent a public health emergency, The Post has learned.

Vasan also said the new migrants come from, or pass through, countries with high rates of infectious tuberculosis — and noted there’ve been outbreaks of chickenpox in shelters housing the newcomers.

“More than 50,000 people have come to New York City (NYC) in the past year shortly after crossing the U.S.-Mexico border. As more people arrive and many make NYC their home, the scale and scope of need continues to grow,” Vasan said in an eight-page letter, dated April 11, sent to physicians and other health care providers. A copy was obtained by The Post.  

Hilariously enough from a SMA (Southern Medical Association) article in 2015:

The federal government’s Department of Homeland Security has public health controls in place to minimize any possible health risks, including medical units at the busiest border stations and measures to protect Customs and Border Protection including gloves, long-sleeve shirts, and frequent hand washing. In addition, the CDC’s Division of Global Migration and Quarantine has measures in place to protect the population from communicable diseases. The agency works through a variety of activities to prevent the introduction, transmission, and spread of communicable diseases in the United States.  It operates Quarantine Stations at ports of entry; establishes standards for medical examination of persons headed legally for the United States; and administers interstate and foreign quarantine regulations governing the international and interstate movement of humans, animals, and cargo. The agency also alerts state authorities of newly arrived immigrants with certain health conditions.

I say hilariously because it’s the Homeland Security who’s aiding and abetting the illegals and don’t know where they are.

 But the wisdom of not more than 10 years ago has gone by the wayside in the Dems’ push to destroy our country.  Disease is both a great population culling as well as a cover-up for the damage of the covid shots.
