Wonder what changed their minds?

NXXT Golf (the minor leagues for women’s golf), has decided to change their stance on men in their ranks and only allow biological females to participate.

“Effective immediately, competitors must be a biological female at birth to participate,” a statement provided to the Daily Caller read. “This decision underscores the organization’s commitment to maintaining the integrity of women’s professional golf and ensuring fair competition.”

This came after a biological male won their championship by 100 points.  So they decided to do a poll of their members and this is the new result (previously the membership had voted to allow men dressed as women compete).

It’s nice to see women and sports organizations wake up to the idea that the women are being sidelined and, in some cases, physically hurt by allowing biological men to play against biological women.

The biological men need their own organizations instead of taking over women’s spaces.  As an aside, this also means that women need to stay in their own organizations so that men can have their own spaces and organizations as well.

  1. My father belonged to the Kiwanis organization in the small town the family lived in and had for years. I would on occasion would accompany my dad to their lunch meetings, also help my dad with projects sponsored by the club. I was working as a nurse by then and had the week free as I only worked the weekend shifts. The club president and members would hound me to join and be a member and I always declined. One Wednesday lunch meeting I was there with my dad and was asked again in front of the whole club. By that time women in the late 80s were allowing women to join the men's club. I stood up and told them I wasn't interested in joining a men's club that allowed women to join. The silence was deafening, the room came to a standstill. I sat down and continued to eat my lunch, sitting next to my dad. I was never asked again. Years later my dad and me were talking in the family room watching a movie and he said that I was correct and finally understood my position. A man's service club should be for men. The whole club milieu changed and after that had difficulty recruiting new male members and my dad said he missed the comradeship and banter of only men. Same goes for sports. unless it is a designated mixed league like a softball league.

I do agree with everything you said.NFO—There will probably be a lawsuit, especially since they changed the rule in the middle of the season. But once this season is over, the change should stand since they put themselves in line with the rest of their professional organizations.
