A woman was raped on a skytrain in Canada.
Here’s the ‘description‘ from the Vancouver Transit police department:
The suspect is described as 30 – 40 years of age, 5’10’ – 6’ tall, with a dark complexion, slender build, wearing a wig with long dark wavy hair, a light coloured t-shirt, black biker shorts, light coloured running shoes and a small cross-body-style bag.
So what’s missing besides a guess at ethnicity?
That would be the sex of the attacker. Look closely.
The Metro Vancouver Transit Police say they “don’t know” if the primary suspect in a skytrain sexual assault is male or female despite having recovered semen during the investigation.
“We’ve left it out for a reason; it’s because we don’t know. The video evidence shows someone who… would appear female, who is female presenting, but the physical evidence is that of a genetic male,”
It is only because they found semen that they figure that the rapist MAY BE male and probably has a penis.
“The suspect we believe does have a penis,” said Steed, when asked if the victim was raped. “But the video shows someone who appears to be female presenting, so that’s why we left the gender out. Because we weren’t really sure how this person identifies—we didn’t want to get it wrong.”
Please re-read that last sentence though (I highlighted it). All of this hemming and hawing was because they didn’t want to misgender a rapist. Not because they couldn’t tell. Not because they had evidence that definitely indicated ‘male’. So they’re willing to allow a rapist to essentially walk free.
What the hell is in the water up there to cause such stupidity?? And women, again, pay the price.
