I sent a link to one of your meme collections to my 26-year-old daughter. She emailed back “A lot of them are funny, but I can't lie, some of them are really ignorant.”To which I gently reminded her “The half-life of the soft sciences like psychology is less than five years. It is inevitable that by the time you are 32, some bright-eyed, newly graduated bimbo is going to look you in the eye and tell you that “You are ignorant” because something you were taught was factual contradicts something she was taught.”She didn't want to think about that.We all want to believe that we are the pinnacle of evolution and it bites hard when we get passed by.
