Pretty sure I'll avoid commercial air travel….

 The FAA’s hiring goals:

The Secretary of Transportation has set a hiring goal of three (3) percent per fiscal year for individuals with targeted (severe) disabilities.

Targeted disabilities are those disabilities that the federal government, as a matter of policy, has identified for special emphasis in recruitment and hiring. The targeted disabilities are:

Hearing (total deafness in both ears)

Vision (Blind)

Missing Extremities

Partial Paralysis

Complete Paralysis, Epilepsy

Severe intellectual disability

Psychiatric disability

Dwarfism

Individuals with targeted disabilities have the greatest difficulty obtaining employment. This is the only protected group for which Federal agencies may have a hiring goal.

Now I’m not sure why dwarfism or missing extremities are included in this list, but it’s damn sure that Air Traffic Controllers who can’t hear or see, or who are extremely low IQ, or just plain nutso crackers are not recipes for safe travel. 

But how many people will have to die on this particular altar of stupidity before these policies are reversed?

    THey will be inspectors, or document reviewers, or other drones that make it harder for pilots and aircraft builders. Need not be ATC folks. At the end of it, remember the FAA Mission Statement:”We aren't happy until YOU aren't happy”.

    they could hire the unrepresented minority class of suicide bombers that have been highly discriminated against in hiring practices

    jimmymcnulty–Had not thought of that, but it's probably preparation for that next step.B–True. And accommodations can be made to a point for any of those other positions. And choosing a disability over ability will definitely make it harder for everyone.

    I worry about pilots and ATCs. Nothing is safe above us and it can come crashing down. I live about 10 miles from the airport so there is air traffic over me at various times. With this DEI/CRT crap instead of proper intelligence testing to place people in critical roles is stupid. Not just pilots, ATC, but doctors and others. The DEI/CRT is just wrong and Academia pushing it shows that no one should waste money on college any more.

    I love flying !!!Anytime we needed a volunteer to go somewhere that involved flying, it would be me !!!Since the bullshit china wuhan/clot shot/masking and the airlines, I didn't care if I ever flew commercial again. This doesn't help……

    The lefts goal is the utter destruction of a white western functional society. This policy is simply one of many intended to achieve that goal. If people die as part of the process???? Oh well. The left has never been concerned with human life… except their own.
