The true rot factor in higher ed

We talk about liberal professors and the indoctrination of students in higher ed.  But there is the ‘man behind the curtain’ that’s really only become known due to the Claudine Gay debacle–administrators and boards of trustees.

Administrators have their fingers in every pie on campus–they set policy, do the hiring, etc.  And they’ll take over grading too, thus blowing away any academic integrity that might remain.

On Thursday, Professor Kendrick Morales told “Fox & Friends” that he was fired by Spelman College – a private, historically black, women’s liberal arts college in Atlanta, Georgia.

Morales said he told the school he would not offer his economics students easier work and raise their marks on assignments just because the classes are hard.

However, he says the college boosted the grades anyway and later fired him.

Had this happen to a person I know too.  Refused to raise grades or give grades for work not completed.  Got locked out of the system and the department chair raised the grades.  Took a lot of heat before that though.

Academic integrity is dead and administrators have helped put a stake through its heart.

Which is NOT the case.Anon–Yep.Dan–Only if you're tenured. They can walk all over adjuncts or non-tenure track faculty.Anon–That's a perfect example of the rot.
