The Biden administration is threatening to sue Texas’ Abbot administration for putting a new law into place that allows Texas law enforcement to arrest and deport illegals (they get a choice of jail or going home).

 The Texas law, SB 4, “makes illegally entering the US from Mexico a state crime and authorizes police to arrest individuals suspected of crossing the Rio Grande between ports of entry.” Immigrants caught under the law “would face a Class B misdemeanor charge carrying a punishment of up to six months in jail,” with repeat offenders facing up to 20 years in prison.

The statute “allows Texas judges to drop charges against migrants if they agree to be deported.”

Of course they’ve been undermining Texas’ measures to keep illegals out, such as cutting concertina wire that was placed in commonly used areas by illegals .  To the point where Texas had to fight them in court.

And now Blinken and Mayorkas (both of whom should be impeached, jailed, and left to rot, IMO) made a trip to Mexico to talk to the President of Mexico about amnesty.  Yep, really.  Trying to make an end run around Congress.  Because they suck.

From Speaker of the House Johnson:

“At a time when America is experiencing the worst border crisis in our nation’s history, it is unconscionable to hear the Biden Administration’s announcement that Secretaries Mayorkas and Blinken discussed with the President of Mexico amnesty for illegal immigrants,” Johnson said in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, responding to news of what was discussed during the meeting.

“The United States must focus on policies that deter — not attract — people attempting to come here illegally, and the smugglers who profit from the catastrophe at our border,” he added. “This development further demonstrates the Administration has no real intention of solving the humanitarian disaster and immediate national security crisis their policies have created.”

Johnson went on to call on President Joe Biden to “take immediate steps to stop the flow of illegal immigration into our country.”

One wonders if these talks included all of the illegals who somehow walked from China or Africa?
