Harvard's taking a hit

It’s gonna take a lot to bring Harvard down completely considering the size of their endowment.  But as donors start to dry up, they are also taking a hit in applications.

Like a 17% drop.  Which was enough to take their acceptance rate up a percentage point to 8.7% from last year. Even though applicants this year didn’t need to provide standardized test scores (again).

Additionally, the movers and shakers are starting to shun Harvard students and grads.  At least one firm is no longer recruiting on campus. And other CEO’s are indicating that they will never hire a Harvard grad.

  1. i can imagine that Harvard takes smart people from the pool of applicants, but from the long gone years of some good teachers, it seems to be in rapid decline. The physics that has come out of Harvard has been mediocre at best. The philosophy that came from there has been much worse.
