 Argentina’s new President just cut the number of ministries in half on his first day.  Down from 18 to 9.  

Ministries being cut or consolidated include those dealing with social development, education and women, gender and diversity.

I like the cut of his jib.  He’s got such good ideas that Biden didn’t meet with him (I’m guessing that it would have been like matter meeting anti-matter).

The man is an actual economist and next on the chopping block is Argentina’s central bank.

Milei, a libertarian, resoundingly won a Nov. 19 presidential runoff election. He is an economist who admires former U.S. President Donald Trump, and he has called for deep cuts in spending as a way to reduce Argentina’s red-hot inflation that is currently running at an annual rate of 143%. He also wants to replace Argentina’s peso with the U.S. dollar as the national currency.

Hooray for the Argentinian voters who actually got someone into place that cares about his country.
