Shoutout to dude at the gym

He will never see this but just had to share.

I’m trying some new exercises and discovered rowing.  I like it. But apparently my form wasn’t right.

So instead of interrupting and harshing my concentration, he sat down at the machine next to me and rowed for about three minutes–just long enough for me to correct what I was doing.  Once I had it down, he moved on.

Don’t know what he looks like–only saw him out of the corner of my eye.

But that was pretty awesome.

  2. Gerry–I'm thinking about getting a magnetic rower for home. I like the ones at the gym, but they don't have anything to look at other than the clock.

  9. Midwest Chick, easy to change out water or add a few drops of bleach or peroxide to tank.Down side of a water rowerThe resistance is set by the amount of water in the tank and there for fixed. The faster you go, the less resistance because the water wants to keep moving in the direction the internal paddles push it. If you want max effort its pull, glide, reset, pull, glide, resetI tend to enjoy keeping a fairly high (for me) stroke rate for 15 minutes. I use to do 25 minutes but now ride a stationary bike for 10 instead.A friend with an air rower goes like hell for 5 minutes. She's one of those psycho gym rats that maxes out her PT tests in the USN.

  10. Gerry–Thanks for the info. I'm still leaning towards a magnetic rower, mainly to keep a constant resistance.
