And the world yawns

Apparently the Hollywood writer’s strike is over after five months, but the actors’ strike continues.  So we get the late night talk shows back…  not counting that as a win.

The only issue that I thought was pertinent was the use of AI to essential steal intellectual property–I know that some writers are fighting that fight in court.  Receipt of residuals, which actors get, I could see as a thing too.

Pay, etc. is what you sign on for when you take a job.

But truly, really don’t care.  The tripe they are putting out is one reason that I pretty much only watch re-runs of older shows.

  1. There is an ongoing actors strike? When did that happen?

  2. As I don't have an antenna connection or a cable connection to my TV, just hooked up to a DVD player and that is fine. I buy the movie I want and get to see it whenever I want. So the whole hollyweird writers, actors, hell even directors could strike and I don't give a rip. I house/dog sat for two weeks and was amazed and shocked at what is on paramount and netflix and even disney, 300 channels and nothing to watch. I read a lot.

  5. B-The article said so. Couldn't tell. I think the only reason they are starting to end the strikes is they are realizing no one cares.Cederq–I like reruns but most of the time just have it on for background or when I'm exercising.Matthew–See comment to B above.Henk–I think they are too far gone. There's no help for either of them.
