And school districts are now closing for covid

Not because people are actually sick (because as we all know, positive tests don’t mean jack over shit).  But because the administrators are inherently lazy.  And because the heads of the teachers’ unions worked with the government the first time to keep students masked and out of the classroom.

So when I hear about this now, this is what I think of:

Good teachers, teach.  They are not friends, buddies, or peers to their students.  And while the principal above said he’d been teaching for 22 years, I’d posit that, like most, he’s taught for one year and just repeated the same thing for the subsequent 21.

  1. Thank God, I had great teachers in the USA. That was long ago. But I am sure my grandparent would never have stepped foot in the USA the way things are now.

  2. It's a great scene because that janitor absolutely had that principal's number. As you say, it's a good representation of the rest of the vast majority of educators out there. They are lazy, ignorant, selfish, and devoid of any semblance of self awareness or introspection.

  4. LOL – we had a guy at work, Earl the Pearl, whenever someone challenged or questioned him on a technical issue, would proudly stand up and state “I've got 20 years experience running this reactor” as if that settled it. Finally, one guy stood up and returned fire in the middle of a staff meeting- “Earl, you got about 1 year of experience, you just repeated that same year 20 times!” Everyone lost it, that had to call the meeting after that because no one could stop laughing. Good Times.
