HAHAHA!! I made it into a Meme! #106, the three Highlanders by the horse. Bob is facing the horse, Jimmy is facing Bob and that's me looking towards the camera! I have no idea what re-enactment we were at.

The window mounted A/C upstairs in my parents home was installed by dad in 1972.When mom sold the home in 2021, the unit blew icy air, all the buttons properly functioned in every mode, and the unit would respond right away with no sign of struggling.According to mom, the unit had only received the basic maintenance such as dusting or wiping the fins every once in a while. The same about the refrigerater kept in the garage. My parents got that refrigerator thrown into the deal (brand new) if they bought an entire butchered cow. That was in 1967. 2021 and it still kept contents to the desired temperature. The only thing was the door needed help staying closed. But the door seal still worked at about 90% as designed. These weren't top of the line appliances. These were affordable to middle middle class.

We're the boiled frogs. Even the people who deny they are not, are.Imagine a person waking up from even a fifty year coma. They'd look around and that which astonished them the most is that we haven't conducted literal wholesale slaughter upon the perpetrators of this wicked malaise.

On 9 June I lost the most amazing Dog ever. He was an Ex-Con… IN jail when I went to adopt him. Got to see him progress through the program… “Busting him out” for visits every Saturday for three months. Had to pass a background check in order to attend his graduation.I adopted him… but HE proceeded to OWN me. The smartest, goofiest most loving creature ever. A “Valley Bulldog” (Had his DNA checked) which is half Boxer, half English Bulldog. He was a stout little tank.Lost him suddenly and without warning to a burst tumor in his abdomen. He bled out internally. UTTERLY asymptomatic right up 'til his last day.I miss him. Desperately. Every. Single. Day.

Boneman–I am so sorry for your loss. They grab ahold of our hearts and don't let go. I still miss our lab mix, every day. And it's been years (the anniversary of her death was a few days ago). Best we can do is remember the good and the love and try to be worthy of them, always.
