Blast from the Past

Queen’s ‘It’s a Kind of Magic’ for ‘Highlander’.

Arguably the best soundtrack for any movie made in the 1980’s.

  3. Anon–All good in their own right, but nothing like showing NYC in its Gotham heyday along with Sean Connery in a brilliant hat.Birdchaser–You have totally missed a good/bad cult favorite movie.Anon2–Some great music as well, but for fantastic soundtracks, still think that Queen 'takes the prize', so to speak. Highlander and Flash Gordon….Me–Absolutely! And as far as the movie and its sequels–there should have been only one…. ๐Ÿ™‚

  5. I saw “Highlander” when it was first released, in a theater in Spokane, WA, when I was in USAF Survival School. The scene with Blossom dying of old age while “Who Wants To Live Forever” waa playing was as gut-wrenching as just about any that I've ever experienced. If your eyes were dry during that, you have no soul.

  6. PS: The actor who played the incredibly badass, Uber-villainous immortal “Kurgan”, is the voice of Mr. Krabs in the SpongeBob franchise. ๐Ÿ˜€

  7. B.C.–Agree on your first comment–it was so well done showing him untouched by time and her growing older and dying (and the ask for the lighting of a candle on her birthday to remember her).I'm not a SpongeBob fan so did not know that!
