There is another outbreak of monkeypox in Chicago (and other cities as well probably). Not surprising, 9 out of 13 cases were in men who had the monkeypox shot in two doses.
But here’s the thing–the manufacturer did not approve the two shot regimen–that was decided on by the FDA as being okay. Initial studies were on one shot.
And unsurprisingly, there are a plethora of studies (such as this one funded by the CDC) coming out touting the supposed efficacy of the two shot EUA that is not reflected in the real world. Naturally, studies funded by the CDC would reflect non-reality.
Of course, all they need to do is shut down the bathhouses for three or four weeks and this outbreak would be contained with or without the shot.
