Not seeing the goodness in throwing something dangerous into the trash

There has been a recall on a specific covid test.

SD Biosensor, Inc. Pilot COVID-19 At-Home Tests, distributed by Roche Diagnostics should be thrown out, according to a new release on the FDA’s website, which lists 44 affected lot numbers.

So get this:  the FDA is telling people to throw out tests into the garbage that could be contaminated with several kinds of bacteria.

Not to mention that the reagent in the tests themselves is poisonous.  These things should be handled as hazmat and be disposed of accordingly.

But the FDA also made me laugh on this one.  To their horror, these poisonous tests could also be….

…gasp…

…inaccurate!

Point being that these so-called tests were not accurate anyway.  They only worked if you had symptoms and likely picked up any flu bugs also.

But for years now, people have been shoving swabs up their noses to figure out if they are sick, when they have symptoms.

And like masks, these things are going into the environment, biohazard and poisons together.  I still see frickin’ masks all over the place in parking lots.

  1. I see masks in the local Kaiser parking lot when I go get prescriptions. My pet peeve is if the 'vid is so dangerous, and hospitals are so worried about the spread: Why don't they pick up the ones intheir parking lot? Kabuki theater.

  2. I suppose the test kits had the stamp of approval from the FDA.It has gotten utterly ridiculous. For a long time it has been common knowledge that fedgov messes up badly and often. But now, this new low of absolute incompetence is astounding. So bereft of competency are they in government that they cannot even lie without getting caught. This begs the question, if they were set on destroying the nation, what would they do differently?
