A sad commentary–American students can't read English

And this is from a Harvard dean.   Their students can’t parse through ‘The Scarlet Letter’.  Because they are so focused on ethnic representation.  This is a failure of the K-12 system.

But back to Harvard–you know, Harvard, which is supposed to have the cream of the crop (debatable).  From an article in The New Yorker:

We now have a generation of functionally illiterate idiots.  Those that cannot understand history cannot learn from it.  And we know where that leads.

  1. A deliberate result. The creation of the US Department of Education by the peanut farmer Carter in 1979 was among the many things the left has implemented in order to destroy the ability of young people to actually learn. “Woke” culture and the incessant drum beat of “racism” is just the latest in that long list of strategic efforts aimed at numbing the minds of youth in America.

  2. In about 75-100 years – 3 to 4 generations – whatever Americans remaining will be sitting, naked and hungry, around a fire someplace while looking at the relics of civilization and only 1 in 100K, maybe, will have enough IQ to wonder what happened. Or, they'll all be wearing cheap uniforms and speaking Mandarin before dying of overwork and poor nutrition at 30. Maybe both. Anon 2

  5. This is the dawning of the Eloi.Today I rewatched a video from the Kyle Rittenhouse trial. A man of about thirty yes old was the witness being questioned about video he shot that night of the Kenosha Kid defending himself. The witness stated his video submitted as evidence was shot by two cameras. But it was one video. The conversation between the questioning attorney seemed like an Abbott & Costello skit. The attorney asked the witness if he had edited the video from each camera to make one video. The witness answered that he had not. Perplexed, the attorney asked how it came to be that two cameras, from two positions, produced one video with no change in perspective. The witness said he 'sync'd' the footage from each camera in order to make one video. The attorney then said, so you did edit the footage. The witnessed responded that he had not.The attorney then asks did you splice the footage? The witness did not understand the term. So the attorney then explained the term originated when film was used. The witness continued to state that he had not in any way edited the video.Mind you, this witness presented himself as a paid professional videographer.
