You never know what you’re going to find when you shake your ancestral tree. I’m sure Angela Davis, a Marxist professor at the University of California wasn’t expecting what she found.

 “Davis is one of the founders of Critical Race Theory as an academic subject and discipline. She is widely quoted in newer books from popular race authors like Ibram X. Kendi. She is one of the people directly responsible for the things your child is likely learning about skin color and ethnicity in schools these days.”

This is Angela back in the day.

She went on that PBS show where they dig into your ancestry.  And here’s what she found out:

One of her ancestors came over on the Mayflower and, to add to the deliciousness of fickle fate, one of her ancestors was a slave owner.

I doubt this will actually have an effect on her worldview–she’ll find some way to turn around the facts that her people helped create this country into something negative, but hopefully it shook her up a little bit.
