Speaking out against the stupidity of men in women's sports

In England and Wales, they are allowing a middle-aged man to play cricket against girls as young as 12 years old.  This guy has already injured two people, including an umpire and another player, who was out of the game for months.

Hopefully good sense will win out in this case like it did in women’s rugby.

I think it takes people refusing to compete against men who decide to participate in women’s sports, like they did in North Carolina when a male volleyball player pasted an opposing player and gave her a concussion and possible long-term brain damage.

And it takes people speaking out, like former NFL player Marcellus Wiley:

“And, I will say that. You all can try to Dave Chappelle me all you want. I am very clear on this. You can be a transgender. You can be the homie, but I’ll be damned if a male at birth turns into a female and tries to compete against my daughters. She ain’t out there. We out,” Wiley continued.

“Don’t make this a human rights issue – this is a biological issue. Simple as that. Trust me, I am a man,” the NFL Pro Bowler added.

or women like Bethany Hamilton

Bethany Hamilton, the American professional surfer famed for surviving a shark attack at the of 13 and going on to compete professionally with one arm, has taken to social media to speak out against the World Surf League’s newly announced policy that would allow biological males to compete against women in the highest levels of surfing.

In a Saturday video posted to her Instagram account, Hamilton said that she would boycott the World Surf League if they go forward with adopting the rule.

If the college-level women swimmers would have walked, the Will Thomas thing would have been over before it got started.  ‘Cause it’s hard to hold a contest with one person.

Kind of like an overmatched team playing tug of war.  All you have to do is let go and refuse to play.

Once that starts and it hits the pocketbooks of the committees and venues, then the stupid will go by the wayside.  Quickly.

  1. My own daughter who is coming up on her 38th birthday, was one of two girls that played high school Varsity Boys Lacrosse under Title IX at her school. Lacrosse was just becoming popular at the H.S. level and there was no girls program yet. There is a huge difference between girls Lacrosse (think Field Hockey standing upright using baskets instead of sticks) and boys Lacrosse, which is football with weapons. She played mostly offense and I don't think she ever scored a goal, but she played hard and took her licks. I watched her get crushed and knocked to the ground by two big defenders, get right up and go after them because that was HER BALL! I would sit silent at games at listen to the coments like, “Oh my God, is that a GIRL?” as she pulled off her helmet and her ponytail would fall out. The guys on the team had no problem with their female teammates, and the girls proudly wore their varsity letter jackets.

  3. You have your opinion, and I have mine. When my daughter was growing up, she did not play sportsball of any kind. Period. She was not a cheerleader either. Sportsball for the girls is undignified and unladylike. It's mostly a waste of time for the boys.

  4. Good on them for speaking up. And yes, the 'revenue' model will drive things in the end. It is ALWAYS about $$$

  5. It would cause pain and inconvenience, at least for a while, but if females would simply take the playing field, sit down and refuse to play if biological males are on the other team things would change. The other team might be declared to win by forfeit – usually a score of 1-0 assigned by officials – but it there would not be a game played. Eventually the fans, sponsors and probably even the officials, would demand the game change back to what it should be. Anon 2
