So I had someone tell me that providing a Spanish translator, wheelchair ramps, and such is considered to be equity. I consider those things to be accommodation.
The left always is changing the definition of words to mean something else (and sometimes dictionaries follow suit, like they did with ‘vaccination’). Or how sexual assault went from actual forced sexual contact to a whistle or being asked on a date.
It’s to give their ideas legitimacy. But providing a translator is not justice and it’s not fairness. It’s providing a service.
Wheelchair ramps are a matter of law and accommodation–not justice or fairness. As Divemedic points out, equity means the same outcome, unlike equality, which is the same standard. Nothing about justice in that.
This is the game that the left plays to give their ideas gravitas.
