Biden has apparently served his purpose and the long knives are coming out.  Following eight months after the New York Times authenticated the Hunter Biden laptop, CBS has finally done the same.  Several days and dollars shot on this move.

So let’s go to what CBS wrote back in October 2020 just for kicks and grins.  This is after the New York Post broke the story.

Wilmington, Delaware — President Trump and his allies have launched a late effort to again tarnish Joe Biden by tying him to his son Hunter Biden’s overseas business interests, publicizing emails and photos supposedly from a laptop alleged to have been abandoned by the younger Biden and timing their release in a manner reminiscent of Russia’s efforts to dump damaging material about Hillary Clinton in 2016.

It’s a far cry of what they are doing now.  I can’t find a transcript, but here’s the link to the broadcast.  As a note, CBS very carefully pointed out that The Big Guy didn’t DIRECTLY gain from Hunter’s dealings.

Second, by admitting that the laptop is legitimate, the media are setting up a situation where Joe Biden is going to be damaged. I think this is intentional, as everyone knows the only way of keeping Joe off the 2024 ticket is by his voluntary withdrawal or the Grim Reaper. Covering the laptop story lets Biden know what he will have to deal with when he runs, and so they believe he will be encouraged to step aside.

It looks like they are going to start dribbling news out until they can either 25th Amendment Biden or downright impeach him.  I don’t think they are going to wait until 2024.  I think they are still trying to figure out what to do about Kamala and possibly Pelosi since the latter stepped down from House leadership but is still in play in Congress.
