True story:After strong winds, my BIL was cutting on a large Oak that had fallen across the road. Being a rancher, he rarely drove that road. Now two weeks after the strong winds he needed to get to town. Two weeks!Yet less than two hours after he began cutting the fallen tree, a county crew showed up. But not to remove the tree from blocking the road. To threaten him with fines. He is not one to argue and he doesn't become angry. He is entirely practicle and about getting work done. But an argument did break out. When they said they'll get another crew out to actually remove the tree (all the while saying they didn't know when that would be) he calmly fired up his chain saw again. They began yelling at him and the head guy threatened him with arrest; interfering with government workers, they said. This was in a rural, conservative, non-union area. They behaved just like the big city newcomers who are used to government doing everything. The little tree on the road reminded me of that.

Anon–Interesting story. Shows that being in government does something to a person's head. Glad your BIL just did what needed to be done.
