Yep, my bad

When you’ve only got a hammer, everything is a nail.

In my case, when I have been concentrating on men competing as women, it’s colored my overall thinking and that is intellectually lazy.

So when I get a text about the Chicago marathon that says that the top elite woman is at the front with the elite men, my first thought (and text) was ‘truly a woman?’, thus denigrating by ignorance the accomplishment of the woman in question.

Gotta check myself more often.

  1. Fastest men's time ever : 2:01:09Fastest women's time ever: 2:14:04If anyone ever said there was a woman running the same time as a man, I'd suspect a tranny. It is possible that a woman could stay in the men's lead pack for a while. It's not unpossible that a female could have a “Bob Beamon” event and actually smash the record and beat the men.

  2. Matthew–It's not unpossible, but highly unlikely. In the case, the woman finished 24th overall, which isn't bad. Also, the Chicago Marathon had a 'non-binary' category when searching for people.
