I took a friend of mine to have a procedure done since her boyfriend became unavailable at the last minute. And that was fine.
Surgery didn’t start on time (an hour late) but I could deal with that too.
Met a nurse in the parking lot who has to go clear off the property of the hospital for which she works in order to sneak a smoke. Enlightened her regarding masks and especially the covid shots. Told her about Birx’s book. She was surprised but listened.
Then my friend’s surgery was done. I got the call to come in and listen to the instructions since she’d been given ketamine and probably wouldn’t remember.
And then the party started.
I stated that I would not wear a mask.
The person on the other end of the phone said “we’ll give you a mask.”.
I said, “that is not the problem. I will not wear one.”
“But you can’t come in without one.”
“Don’t care. Write the instructions down and send my friend out with them. I can read.”
“I’ll come out and go over them with you.” Which she did, wearing a mask. Outside. *sigh*
Once we were done she asked The Question. “Are you vaccinated?”
My reply: “Actually it’s none of your business but I’ll be polite and answer. No. Because they don’t work any better than your mask does.” (Okay, maybe not polite.)
“Oh. I have friends like you. I don’t judge.” (it’s the same tone of voice when a limousine liberal claims they have black friends. Trying to show they are open minded and only getting to FAIL.).
And of course meant that she’s a Karen trying not to piss me off.
And here’s where I should get the prize for NOT saying “I don’t care if you judge or not. Your opinion or judgement mean less than nothing to me, you officious, uninformed, uneducated sheep-like bint.” It almost happened but it’s my friend’s doctor and she has to go back.
In any case, I poured my friend into the car and got her home safely, which was why I was there anyway.
