Sexual harassment is NOT calling someone by a plural pronoun–sexual harassment is when a person has power over another and demands sexual favors or touches inappropriately.
I’m pretty sure that Title IX was never, ever, meant for this purpose or for schools to use to take direct actions against students. However, the parents are having to work with attorneys and the school district is using taxpayer funds for this farce.
A good shunning for anyone in the school district associated with this stupidity would be in order, followed by tar and feathers if they don’t catch a clue.
On the flip side, a 10th grader was required to memorize and read pornography in front of her class. The verbiage was so egregious that the school board wouldn’t allow it to be read in public. But it’s not sexual harassment when a teacher (person in power) required a student to sexualize herself in front of a classroom of peers as well as an adult?
